Individual Therapy with a Therapist in Charleston, SC

Individual counseling for adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and personal growth, with a licensed therapist in Charleston, SC, Greenville and the Grand Rapids area.

Space to understand what you need

You may know exactly what brings you to therapy, or simply feel that something needs to change. Individual counseling offers a place to talk through what is weighing on you and identify what you want to work toward. Parke works with adults from college age through older adulthood.

A collaborative process

Sessions begin with your experience: the patterns you notice, the pressures you carry, and the relationships and responsibilities that matter to you. Together, you can clarify your priorities and explore practical changes at a pace that feels manageable. Your goals can evolve as the work develops.

Choosing your session format

Individual sessions are available in person or through telehealth in Charleston and Mount Pleasant, Greenville, and Grand Rapids. If you are considering remote sessions, your consultation is a chance to ask about the setup and whether that format fits your circumstances.

Getting started

Start with a free 15-minute phone consultation to discuss what you are looking for and ask questions about the practice. Individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes and cost $150. The practice accepts private pay and can discuss sliding-scale availability; insurance is not billed.

Your right to a Good Faith Estimate

If you do not have health insurance or choose not to use it, you have the right to a written Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of your non-emergency health care, including counseling.

You can request an estimate before scheduling. If you schedule care at least three business days in advance, an estimate will be provided within the required timeframe. Ask us for an estimate covering your planned services, including therapy sessions or an intensive.

If a bill from a provider is at least $400 more than that provider’s estimate, you may be eligible to dispute it. Keep a copy of your estimate for your records.

To request an estimate, email psmith@lowcountrycs.org. Learn more about your rights at cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
